History of Prison Ministry Choir
The Prison Ministry Choir of Goler Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church (PMC) was formed to provide worship services within the Prison System which lacked the presence of the AfricanAmerican churches in this aspect of ministry. The choir was established by the late Mr. Norman Robinson, under the leadership of Rev. Louis Hunter Sr., now the retired Presiding Prelate of the Mid Atlantic I Episcopal District and under the musical direction of Rev. Aaron Orr. The choir continues to render service at the Cherry Street Prison and during morning service on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
Choir Rehearsal Schedule: Thursday, 6:00p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. before the Second Sunday; Thursday, 6:00 p.m. after 2nd Sunday.
